Michael Brody is the Managing Partner and Co-founder of Fiduciary Search Group (FSG), a division of KDS Strategic Search. Prior to launching FSG, Michael served as the dedicated Regional Manager for Rainmaker Associates, a perennial leader in recruiting Financial Advisors. There, he conducted business in virtually every major city in the U.S., as well as London. As a strategic partner to Financial Advisors and Clients, Michael earned a reputation as an industry expert, which over the years has helped him personally place over 100 team transitions, $150 million in revenue and $10 billion of assets under management with Wirehouses, Super-Regionals, Independent Firms and Aggregators. He was one of the earliest recruiters to see the future of financial services, and began to diversify his relationships and offerings to include independent opportunities before it became vogue. Michael also served as a trainer and mentor to other recruiters. While at Rainmaker, he and the firm were consistently ranked as one of the top three recruiting firms recognized for successfully transitioning Wealth Advisors to one of Wall Street’s top Wirehouses.
Before joining Rainmaker, Michael was Managing Director for B2B Legal Solutions, where he oversaw all activities for their National Staffing Initiative. He also represented numerous hedge funds, as well as helped several well-know Billionaire families and their top law firms in recruiting top Estate Planning attorneys to deal with their complicated trusts and estates needs. Earlier in his career, Michael served as Regional Director for Strategic Placement for over five years, where he advised and successfully placed highly-qualified attorneys in virtually every practice area in the most prestigious international, national, regional and boutique law firms, as well as fortune 500 companies and hedge funds.
Michael’s strong understanding of the business from both the advisor and company perspective also comes from previous firsthand experience as a Financial Advisor, specializing in financial planning. During his four years as an Advisor, Michael was a CFP candidate and held the Series 7, 63, 65 and NYS Life and Health licenses.
Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University - Lubin School of Business. He and his wife live on the north shore of Long Island, NY where they enjoy sports, travel, reading, fine dining, photography and sharing those interests with friends, family and colleagues.
